CONSCIOUS ETERNITY

         I am terrified of the concept of Heaven. Hell would almost assuredly be unpleasant too, but it would be, by far, the lesser of two evils. Emotion, be it pleasure or pain, cannot be sustained for eternity. With heaven, it would grow to be the most excruciating form of existence. It could not remain pleasant forever. With hell you would grow accustomed to you torment, and would eventually end up in the same boat of the ones who were ‘saved’ from your terrible fate. Hell would be the better of these two fates because it would take longer to grow accustomed to, and the music and the company would theoretically be better.
